Can you here the lonesome Whippoorwill
It sounds to blue to fly
The midnight train is whining by
I'm so lonesome I could cry
Well I've never known a night so long
When time goes crawling by
The moons just gone behind a cloud
To hide it's face and cry
Have you ever seen a Robin weep
When leaves begin to fall
That means he's lost the will to live
I'm so lonesome I could cry
The silence of a falling star
Lights up a purple sky
And as I wonder where you are
I'm so lonesome I could cry
